JAVIER SENOSIAIN’S ORGANIC ARCHITECTURE
Javier Senosiain is a well-known architect for his devotion to a design whose subjects are landscape and environment; few artificial and well-researched elements are added thus creating a unicum with nature.
Design is conceived with organic forms and using as little of material as possible to create a system of spaces where a person feels at one with nature and with its forms.
Senosiain’s idea is to create a total and structural continuity among floors, walls, and roofing. Therefore, efforts are equally distributed on the whole surface of the base, thus avoiding the use of large amounts of materials for foundations.
Externally, it is possible to notice a clear reference to Antoni Gaudí’s art: small three-dimensional pieces made of ceramic, sometimes cylindrical shaped, with bright and intense colours, compose figures which refer both to the Catalan master’s creations and to the old American artisanal tradition of chaquira.
Garden-buildings consisting of sensual paths, of bright colours and the strength of natural elements. A profound and current teaching which shows that it is important to respect the organic systems and that it is necessary to work in a cautious and humble way. The Mexican master focuses his attention on the organic balances, on the morphology and the resistance of the topographical forms, just like Gaudì did: the extraordinary intelligence of the architecture of nature.
