SINGAPORE Tower-hotel Oasia Downtown
According to the design for the tower-hotel Oasia Downtown planned by WOHA in the Central Business District in Singapore, the façades were conceived as a real landscape plan. The red wire netting, enveloping the building, is the element which consents the proliferation of a luxuriant vegetation. The building won the Best Tall Building Worldwide 2018 prize during the 16th edition of the Annual Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH).
The climbers are employed as if they were a real architectonic element. The volume of the building is engraved by three wide empty spaces which work as ground floors in height and devoted to recreational activities; a fourth garden in height is located on the top of the building. These spaces efficiently improve the ventilation inside the building while the red netting combined with green represents the main device for shading
